Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Handwrite (the "App") handles your information. Handwrite is built to be private by design: your text and images are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

1. What Happens On Your Device

• Your text — the words you type, paste, or scan are converted into handwriting locally on your iPhone or iPad. We never receive, store, or transmit your text.
• Scanned images (OCR) — when you scan a photo or document, character recognition runs on-device. The image and the recognized text never leave your device.
• Generated pages & PDFs — handwriting pages and exported PDFs are created on your device and only leave it if you choose to share or print them via the iOS share sheet.

2. Information We Collect

Because the core features run offline, the only data associated with you relates to purchases:

• Anonymous identifier — a random ID generated on first launch and stored on your device, used to associate your subscription and entitlements with your installation (via RevenueCat).
• Purchase data — receipts and subscription status from the Apple App Store. We never receive your payment card details.
• Support messages — if you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send (e.g. your email address and message).

3. What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect the text you write, the documents you scan, or the pages you generate.
• We do not collect your real name, phone number, or precise location.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
• We do not display third-party advertising, and we do not include any advertising or analytics tracking SDKs.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the App's paid features:

• Apple App Store — handling in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• RevenueCat — managing subscription state, entitlements, and receipt validation.

These services have their own privacy policies governing the limited data they receive. We do not share personal data with them beyond what is necessary to provide the subscription.

5. Data Retention

Your anonymous identifier and purchase records are retained as long as your installation is active. Support emails are retained for up to 24 months.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the limited personal data we hold, or to withdraw consent. You can delete all locally-stored data (including your anonymous identifier) at any time by uninstalling the App. To request deletion of any data tied to your anonymous ID, email asadbek.apps@gmail.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Handwrite is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, anonymous IDs, on-device processing of your content) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Transfers

Limited purchase data may be processed on servers located outside your country (e.g. United States, European Union) as part of operating RevenueCat and the Apple App Store. By using the App you consent to such transfers.

10. Subscriptions & Purchases

The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (Weekly) with a 3-day free trial. The subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. See our Terms of Use for full purchase terms.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
